Energy efficient air distribution in schools, office buildings and other comfort areas
FBS Panels are ceiling diffusers based on the patented DFC system by Euro Air. The system operates at a lower pressure than standard ceiling diffusors and it is therefore more energy efficient. The fresh air is evenly distributed across the entire surface of the panel which results in a healthy indoor environment without draught problems. The FBS Panels are made in a Trevira CS quality in fire retardant materials.
The FBS Panels have been developed by Euro Air in Denmark, part of the KE Fibertec group, world leader in fabric ducting. Euro Air has many years of experience in air distribution through tailored fabric ducts and with the invention of FBS Panels we are now also able to offer a flat ventilation panel for e.g. low ceilinged rooms.
The panels are made in sizes 600x600 mm and 600x1200 mm for standard suspended ceilings and come with a flexible socket Ø160-250 mm. 600x600 panels always come with a socket at the end of the panel. 600x1200 panels come with a socket at the side or at the end of the panel.

FBS Panels come in three different variations to fit individual needs. By using the DFC baffles you are able to spread the air over a larger area rather than just below the ceiling.
Here it is only the thermodynamic that will control how the air will be lead into the room. Cold air will drop directly underneath the textile panel. In terms of heating this is not an ideal solution due to the stratification.
Using a mixture of a high permeable material such as the HDC Trevira CS 550 together with the EuroAir patented DFC baffles give a a large area that the air will spread into, shown as Y on the illustration.
The air velocity in Vx, DFC will be a bit bigger than under Vx, Tex, but still possible to keep within the regulations in a high comfort room like a school classroom.

For washing of the panels only the visible part (bottom) is to be removed from the panel. Tools are not needed. The textile material should be washed at 40°C according to the washing instructions for the material.
FBS panels are available as MagiCAD components for AutoCAD and Revit. The components are available for the standard sizes 600x600 and 600x1200 and for Combi size 600x1200. Both models are made for type 1 and 2 and contain technical calculations.
